My Thoughts:

Cosmogramma is definitely music but its hard to define it further than that. This is a strange experimental album that pushes the boundaries of electronic/sample based music. This album is jazz mixed with foley soundscapes and disorenting percussion that is swung out of control. Some of the tracks are more ideas than songs but I still think they contribute to the album as a whole. This was one of the first albums I found on my own that made me go “what the hell did I just listen to”. This is also the album that introduced me to Thundercat. This is an album to listen to with an open mind.

Track Highlights:

MmmHmm

Do the Astral Plane

…And The World Laughs With You

Galaxy in Janaki
